Sinaproc provides support to people affected by the rains in Juan Díaz

The director of the National Civil Protection System, Arturo Alvarado, referred to the heavy rains recorded on Thursday afternoon that caused flooding. He explained that humanitarian aid was brought to the affected areas and stressed that garbage contributed to these floods.

Alvarado explained that they are still working on the contingency plan for medium and high impact events in the country. He pointed out that the Panama Emergency Operations Center (COE) was shut down and will be reactivated today.
