The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) issued an alert to the public from January 13 to 15 due to the intensification of winds throughout the national territory due to the passage of a cold front.
The areas with the highest surveillance are: Bocas del Toro, Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca, Chiriquí, Los Santos, Herrera, Coclé, Colón, Panama West, Panama, Guna Yala and mountainous areas of the country.
Speeds between 40 and 50 km/h are expected in maritime areas that could generate rough seas and therefore a high risk to vessels is warned.
