Find out what the Sinae recommendations are to get through the cold wave until next Wednesday

The National Emergency System (Sinae) issued a series of recommendations to transit cold wave what is current from this Sunday 11 to Wednesday June 14. As reported by the National Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) the maximum temperatures will be around 11ºC to 14ºC and the minimum of 4ºC to -1ºC.
The Sinae recommended through its Twitter account to keep informed of the weather forecasts and alerts issued by Inumet, especially until next Wednesday, the day the alert ends.
❄️ According to the notice of @MeteorologiaUy A cold wave is expected throughout the national territory for next Sunday that would last until Wednesday the 14th.
Sinae is in the Preparation phase monitoring the situation.

Among other issues, Sinae recommends:
- Extreme care with stoves: keep them more than a meter and a half away from flammable objects, such as curtains or mattresses. In the case of electric stoves, check the state of the cables and plugs, do not use adapters and avoid poisoning from braziers or coal, wood or gas stoves.
- these stoves they should not be lit indoors without air renewal.
- Eating hot food and drinkssuch as stews, soups, tea or mate, and likewise avoid drinking alcoholbecause it dissipates body heat.
- Avoid staying outdoors and in case of going out, wear several light and warm overlapping garments instead of a single thick fabric garment. Protect your face and head and, if possible, wear impervious footwear.
- pay special attention to the most vulnerable population: older adults, children, homeless people and people with certain diseases associated with respiratory, circulatory, cardiac problems, etc.
- Remember that the freephone line 0800 8798 of the Mides to notify about people living on the street.
Why are we in a cold snap?
We are facing a cold wave when for at least three consecutive days we have (in this case) minimum temperatures below a climatologically determined threshold, which varies according to the period of the year and regions of the country, as defined by the Sinae website.
