Sillas 2022: Get to know the creative virtual proposal of this emblematic exhibition

Creativity, technology and innovation are the components that the new edition of Sillas 2022 brings. As every year, the Toulouse Lautrec school of higher education presents its emblematic exhibition Sillas, which will be held in virtual format and will show a collection of 50 chairs in reality increased. This exhibition will present the best furniture design proposals developed by students and teachers of the institution.

“Today design has become a tool for social, cultural and economic transformation, capable of transforming and improving our lives. Thus, the Sillas 2022 exhibition presents the best and most creative furniture design proposals that go beyond aesthetics and help solve various real problems in our society”, says Claudia Olivares, academic director of Design, Business and Innovation at Toulouse-Lautrec.

The projects will compete in the categories of innovation, that highlights the best furnishings that equally combine materiality, function and aesthetics; serious creativity, chairs with a purpose that respond to needs in favor of vulnerable populations; new concepts, a category promoted in partnership with the New Italian Academy of Fine Arts; and the crowd Favorite Chair, where visitors can vote for the 4 best chairs.

In this edition of Sillas, there are juries specialized in the field of Architecture and Design, such as Nicola Chipa and Paula Gunter, representatives of the New School of Fine Arts (NABA) of Milan and Key Education; Pamela Díaz, plastic artist and creator of Mint Days; Alicia Peralta, outstanding architect with more than 20 years of experience in the field of construction and finishes; and Sandra Martínez, interior architect at NIHM DESIGN.
