The Internal Revenue Service (SII) confirmed that it will analyze the tax compliance of the so-called Team Patriota, after the deputy Andrés Celis (RN) officiated the national director of the organization, Hernán Frigolett, reporting a series of background information on the financing of the group led by Francisco Muñoz —better known as Pancho Malo, former leader of the White Claw.
Deputy Celis requested that a possible evasion or breaches of the Donations Law be investigated. After his complaint, the SII stated that “considering the applicable legal regulations, the information will be sent to the Santiago Oriente Metropolitan Regional Office.”

The SII already reported, in its response to the RN parliamentarian, that there is no precedent that Team Patriota has legal personality.
Let us remember that, according to deputy Celis, the group would be supported by digital platforms, through which it would capture donations that would be directed to a bank account. The foregoing “obviously does not comply with tax obligations in matters of donations and facilitates evasion because it is not transparent if the recipient has the legal formalities,” he explained.
