“Side”, solo show by Alexandra Álvarez Carvajal

The Center for the Development of Visual Arts (CDAV) will inaugurate the exhibition “Side”, a personal exhibition by the artist Alexandra Álvarez Carvajal, next Thursday, May 11, at 4:00 pm

«For a few days the short L room has begun to dress up with the creative universe of photography and digital art. You are all invited”, this is the invitation of the CDAV.

Alexandra Álvarez Carvajal graduated from the “San Alejandro” National Academy of Fine Arts in 2018, she is currently in her fifth year at the Faculty of Visual Arts of the University of the Arts of Cuba (ISA). Her work navigates between photography, installation and digital art, with a self-referential tendency, linking her personal experiences with certain social and cultural imaginaries of her context.

His work has been present in the collective exhibitions “Ars Ex Machina” (FAC and ArteMorfosis), “Estado de Espíritu” (Enlace and AHS, the context of the XIV Havana Biennial), “This is 18” (promoted by the New York Times), “Fotofest” (Photo Library of Cuba and Ludwig Foundation) and 8th Salon of Contemporary Cuban Art (CDAV).
