Public Television will present this Friday at 9:00 p.m. a new broadcast of the journalistic program “SIC. Text Journalism” titled “Rosario, in the line of fire”in which the extreme levels of violence and poverty in that city of Santa Fe considered the “narco capital” of Argentina will be analyzed.
The program, which is hosted by Luciano Galende Y Florence Alcarazwill seek to account for the state of the situation of what was once an industrial pole, surrounded by productive land and with one of the busiest ports in the country, but which in the last decade doubled its number of homicides and today occupies the media and portals with news associated with crime and the drug business.
“Strategic point for legal and illegal distribution and export, Rosario seems destined to live under the rules of the cartels that are distributed in urban territories. The impoverishment and the lack of horizon are the breeding ground that is combined with its geographical location, which makes it an obligatory distribution point”points out a statement from the public channel, which anticipates that tomorrow will be a “program to learn about different versions of Rosario’s reality and to think about how to get out of the trap that holds guilty and innocent people alike as hostages.”
“What is the responsibility of the State and the reality of justice? And above all, how do you get out of this?”, invites us to reflect “SIC. Text Journalism”.
The program will have numerous opinions, among whom are the provincial deputy for the Social and Popular Front Carlos del Frade; journalists German of the Saints Y Silvina Tamous; the councilor of the Ciudad Futura Bloc, Pedro ‘Pitu’ Salinas; the anthropologist Eugenia Cozzi and the special chief prosecutor of the Organized Crime and Complex Crimes Unit, Luis Schiappa Pietra.
The National Director of the Airport Security Police, Joseph Glinski; the former undersecretary of the Provincial Directorate for Children, Adolescents and Family of Rosario, Alexandra Fedele; Geronima Benitez, Victor’s mother Emanuel Gonzalez Benitez, assassinated by a gang of drug dealers; and Ana López, a resident of Rosario’s Barrio Ludueña.
