The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) ordered 27 restaurants in Bogotá to comply with the obligation to public price information to consumers, in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Statute (Law 1480 of 2011).

The order was issued after the SIC carried out thirty (30) administrative visits of inspection and surveillance in establishments of food and/or beverage sales located in different gastronomic areas of the capital of the country. The establishments visited were:
El Cielo, Criterión, Leo, La Jugueteria Macarena, Republik Restaurant, El Patio Restaurant, T-Bone Restaurant, Zudaka Restaurant, La Scala Restaurant, Gato Negro Restaurant, Cumbia House Restaurant, Pesquera Jaramillo Restaurant, Brera Calle 93ª, Habana Restaurant, Ko , El Mediterraneo por Andrei, Osaki Restaurant, Swiss Chalet, Primitivo – Multiplaza Restaurant, Inkanto Gastrobar, Don Benitez Multiplaza, Archies Parque La Colina, Semolina – Colina, 14 Inkas Restaurant, La Biferia Restaurant – Atlantis, Doña Elvira Restaurant, El Cañón Breakfast Room From Chicamocha.
“Once the administrative visits were carried out, it was noted that in only three (3) of the establishments (Crepes & Waffles Galerías, Wok Parque La Colina and the Harry Sasson Restaurant), consumers were being informed of the price of the products in compliance with consumer protection regulations”, the SIC said in a statement.

Finally, the entity indicated that it will continue to carry out visits to establishments
trade sales of food and/or beverages in the country “to verify that they are complying with the obligation of public information on prices.”
