AREQUIPA, Peru – An annular eclipse of the Sun, showers of stars and visible planets, astronomy lovers will be able to enjoy in the coming months, at the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere, a period that will last 89 days.

At first, the sky after sunset will have Venus and Saturn as the only visible planets. In November, Mercury will be visible for a few weeks to the west, while, at the end of November, Jupiter will appear in the sky in the east.

Sunrises, on the other hand, will allow you to see Mars and Jupiter throughout the season. In late fall, Mercury will begin to be visible.

During the period there will be an eclipse Annular Sun on October 2, which will be seen in the Pacific and South America.

Added to this are other phenomena such as the draconid meteor showers, whose maximum is expected around October 8; the orionids, with a maximum around October 21; the Leonids, with a maximum around November 17, and the Geminids, with a maximum around December 14.

According to astronomers and their predictionsthe full moons will take place on October 17, November 15 and December 15.

This season will last approximately 89 days and 21 hours, ending on December 21 with the beginning of winter.
