A select collection of 100 objects shipped from Japan representing the best examples of Japanese design with a special focus on everyday objects comprise the show.
Also included are traditional design objects that have had an influence on current Japanese design.
Many designs follow contemporary global trends, some carry on the Japanese tradition, and others strongly reflect local tastes. The composite or complex features of a product’s design reflect the culture of the people who create and use it.
The Embassy of Japan hopes that this exhibition will enrich visitors’ knowledge of trends and characteristics of Japanese design and at the same time introduce them to the characteristics of Japanese culture today.
The public will be able to visit the exhibition until Saturday, November 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on Saturdays.
This event is organized jointly by the Embassy of Japan, the Japanese Paraguayan Center and the Japanese Paraguayan Associationwith the sponsorship of the Japan Foundation.
