Elevator for the board is uone of the priorities for the new President

“The Board has gone into recess. We are going to start the year strong in the month of February. It is an electoral year, a political campaign, but we are here to work, to try to comply with all the issues that arise, that are raised and also with some goals that I want to achieve as President of the Board.” he pointed out.
“I want the elevator for the Departmental Board” specified the Mayor of the National Party. “Then I have some other projects that I’m not going to say yet. Everyone will find out when they are a little more advanced. Everything will always be for the growth of the department” he assured.
A BRIEF BUT HEAVY PERIOD
“It is a short, hectic period, where many things are coming. I think it is good to be everywhere because it is the function of the Councilors and the Board as an institution. We must comply with the people, with the people. “That’s what I’m trying to do.” Arismendes expressed.
He highlighted the fact that several young people have occupied seats in the Legislature and also many women. “We are gaining ground too. Besides, it is a place where one can learn a lot. It serves a lot as an experience. We Councilors often assume without knowing what the function is and we end up finding something nice” illustrated. “Beyond that you have to study a lot and learn. It is a complicated task, we are exercising the control of the Municipality” he stated.
A GOOD WORKING GROUP
The President of the Board said that in these 4 years that have passed since the period, a very good working group was formed among the Councilors. “We have been able to carry out everything that has been proposed, both to approve Decrees and to say no and send for study when the situation requires it” projection.
Although this first half of 2025 will be a special year due to the Departmental and Municipal elections being held in May, María del Carmen Arismendes maintained that from the moment an Mayor accepts the responsibility of assuming a position of this type, he is aware of the role that must perform. “It is not a year like all the others, it is a year that is going to be busier. “You have to try to organize and assemble both family, work and the role in the Departmental Board.”
Regarding active militancy, he said that he will continue to accompany the development of the electoral campaign, but with a very low profile. “It is very difficult for me to give interviews, I am not much for going to the press. I understand that now I am in a place that I am going to have to leave. I always accompany, I am there at the same time” he concluded.
