Shopkeepers steal up to 10,000 soles from the Modelo de Huancayo market

During the last weeks, the merchants of the Mercado Modelo de Huancayo have been the object of numerous robberies inside the supply center, criminal acts that have raised the alarms of the partners of the supply center.

They are watched and robbed

The president of the merchants, María Cordova, has reported that thanks to the security cameras that exist in this supply center, they have managed to detect that criminals pose as false customers, mostly women, and after adjustment work they choose their victims.

The object of the robbery at the moment, are the amounts of the sale of the day, having managed to misappropriate two thousand, 3 thousand and up to 10 thousand soles in stalls of various items within the aforementioned market.

The modality of the robberies would respond to the same ones that the shopkeepers carry out, hoping that the merchants neglect their stalls or get distracted by attending to the clients at the precise moment in which the money is stolen.

“The faces of these criminals have been recorded on the security cameras,” said María Córdova, however this has not been an impediment for the criminals to continue perpetrating their criminal acts. The merchants are unanimously requesting the intervention of the National Police of Peru.
