The Municipal Assembly of People’s Power of Centro Habana confirmed this Friday that the shooting reported yesterday Thursday afternoon in said municipality left two injured.
In the event, which took place on Consulado Street, between Ánimas and Trocadero streets, a 37-year-old citizen and a 50-year-old worker, director of the Deep Roots Folk Company, were seriously injured with danger to their lives.
The government information, quoted by the newspaper Havana Tribune, indicates that the victims were referred to a hospital center to receive medical assistance, although it does not specify the name of the institution.
The information denied that the incident took place in the vicinity of a school, and clarifies that “it initially occurred on public roads and then in said folkloric center, while the 37-year-old citizen fled from a supposed reckoning.”
Authorities continue investigations.
Since yesterday several profiles on Facebook, as well as independent media, reported on this event that takes place when an increase in violence is experienced in almost the entire country.
At the beginning of the week, the Minint reported that it had captured the alleged murderer of a family from Matanzas, two adults and a child who had taken their lives at their residence, located in the vicinity of the Eddio Teijeiro textile company, known as La Bellotex.
