Sheynnis Palacios announces she wants to be an actress after her reign as Miss Universe

Miss Universe 2023, Sheynnis Palacios, is still in Brazil to participate tonight in the final of Miss Universe Brazil 2024. Palacios arrived in the South American giant last Monday, September 16, and within her agenda, the beauty visited the municipal market of Sao Paulo, where she shared with followers and vendors.

During her second visit to Brazil, Palacios has met with city authorities, as well as with prominent figures in the country, such as the first Brazilian Miss Universe, Ieda María Vargas, who won the title exactly 60 years ago, and Julia Gama, Miss Brazil 2020, who has been her companion as she toured the city.

The Miss Universe organization has not yet announced new travel dates for Palacios; however, unofficially it is known that the beauty will travel to North Macedonia on October 5 to participate in the coronation pageant for her new representative.

Carlos Gomez, boyfriend of the current Miss Universe, shared a video on Instagram in which the couple is seen dancing and sharing. Along with the post, he wrote “I Miss You.” Palacios responded to “How nice, let’s keep collecting moments that reflect our happiness, okay?”

Sheynnis interested in acting

Sheynnis Palacios has been crowned for 10 months, and in a recent interview with Telemundo, Miss Universe 2023 said she has mixed feelings of uncertainty and sadness as the time to hand over her reign approaches.

“It’s a bittersweet moment (…) a new stage for Sheynnis is coming, there is that uncertainty of (not) knowing what will happen once she hands over the crown, but there is also that sadness that I have already made those bonds of brotherhood with part of the MU team, the saddest thing will be leaving the daily routine with those I live with (…) but I know that they will always be there for me,” says Palacios.

The Nicaraguan beauty says that with only two months to go until Miss Universe 2024, she has already written her farewell message. “While I was writing it, I was ‘running over backwards’. Those notes say what I really want to convey that night.” Palacios said that she could change the way she says goodbye during the gala night.

Sheynnis announced that acting is among her future plans. “I have developed an interest in acting, I’m not going to lie to you (addressing the interviewer) I hope at some point to make that debut, some participation, I hope that the projects that come are for the best, you will continue to see me,” says Palacios.

Palacios participated in several television programs in Nicaragua and worked as a presenter of a morning television program. She has a degree in Communication from the Central American University (UCA). Palacios and her family currently reside in the United States.

The new queen of universal beauty will be elected on November 16 in Mexico City. Palacios has become the third most traveled Miss Universe in history (with 31 countries) and could surpass that position if she continues to visit places in the final stretch of her reign.
