At the funeral of Pope Francis, who died Monday at age 88, he will be attended by heads of state such as Donald Trump of the United States; Volodimir Zelenski of Ukraine; Emmanuel Macron de France and Javier Milei of Argentina.
The funeral of Pope Francis will be held on April 26 in the Plaza San Pedro. At 10:00 hours (local time) a mass will be held.
President Claudia Sheinbaum stressed that Pope Francis was of humanistic, progressive thought and always saw the poor.
“A humanistic, very progressive thought. We are going to say so, in the sense of always approaching the most humble, the poor, to the forgotten, to call the world to the construction of peace. His criticism of neoliberalism, consumerism and the recovery of austerity values in his own person and in general in the Catholic Church,” he said.
