In images that the brunette shared on social networks, she is seen surrounded by people, greeting affected families and supervising the cleaning and removal of debris.
“We visited Acapulco to follow up on the care tasks for the victims of Hurricane John. We were in the Alejo Peralta neighborhood and then we held a supervision meeting. The census and various tasks are progressing with the participation of the population, in coordination with the state and municipal government. We are doing well,” Sheinbaum wrote on his networks.

With his visit to the Alejo Peralta neighborhood of Acapulco, Sheinbaum marked a difference with respect to his predecessor, López Obrador, since he did not visit neighborhoods affected by disasters.
López Obrador’s visits to the port were limited to holding private meetings at naval facilities, with the Governor of Guerrero Evelyn Salgado, local authorities and members of his cabinet.
After his tour through the streets, Sheinbaum went to the facilities of the Twelfth Naval Region in Acapulco, where he chaired the meeting titled “Actions for Hurricane John.”
