But in the legislative, there will be tension
At the end of the year, the tensions for the president will be in the Legislative, a power in which her party and allies have the qualified majority, with which she can approve constitutional reforms.
Beyond the controversies of trips abroad, houses of 12 million pesos and other excesses of Morenista legislators, the president has a complex scenario for the leadership that his predecessor left and for the resistance that is expected to generate the reform that will be a priority for her second year of government: the electoral.
Jacques Cost, a political analyst, argues that the leadership left in the legislative power former President López Obrador, limited to the president.
“A great pressure that Sheinbaum faces, or great, limiting, is that López Obrador, when leaving the government, made various arrangements that do not agree with the president. He left men who do not necessarily respond to Sheinbaum, who are Adam Augusto López, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, and Ricardo Monreal, explains the columnist of Political expansion.
Both López Hernández, Fernández Noroña and Monreal Ávila practically assured their position at the proposal of López Obrador.
When the former president defined the details of the presidential succession “suggested” that the survey losers with which the candidate of Morena was defined, obtained a position in the political project.

In the first months of their management, the parliamentary coordinators or the outgoing presidents of the Board of Directors were involved in controversies and accusations.
“Leaderships very identified as that of Senator Adam Augusto, that of Ricardo Monreal, that of Gerardo Fernández Noroña, have somehow exceeded the indications of the president (…) and paradoxically, from whom she has had more support and cohesion is from the loser candidate in the internal election: Marcelo Ebrard,” adds Simon Hernández.
In his second year of government, one of Sheinbaum’s priorities will be the approval of the electoral reform, which although he takes some of the approaches of his predecessor, has his own seal.
