Sheinbaum promotes Mexico’s agenda in G-20 | In Photos

Prior to her arrival in Brazil, the president had a stopover in Panama, where she met with the chancellor of that country, Javier Martínez-Acha Vásquez.

On the first day of G-20 events, at the National Museum, headquarters of the Leaders Summit, she was received by the president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. It was the president herself who in a social media publication indicated that she would address issues such as the fight against poverty, hunger and climate change.

In the first work session called “Fight against hunger and poverty”, the president proposed Sowing Life, as a reforestation program, which will allow entire communities to be lifted out of poverty.

The G-20 Leaders Summit brings together the presidents and prime ministers of the world’s major economies: Germany, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea, United States, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom, Russia, South Africa, Turkey and the European Union.

Prior to her participation in the first session, the president of Mexico had time to greet several presidents and prime ministers, including Xi Jinping of China, Emmanuel Macron of France, and Justin Trudeau of Canada.
