The head of the Executive also released a video corresponding to the visit she made on December 19 to Texcoco, where, as part of the Eastern Strategic Program of the State of Mexico, she led the delivery of resurfacing equipment intended to transform the region’s road infrastructure. With an investment of 450 million pesos, the initiative seeks to address the patching and recovery of streets and avenues.
In the video, the President explained that the equipment is part of the paving trains acquired for the entire country and that on this occasion they were destined for eastern Mexico. “It is part of the paving trains that we are purchasing for the entire country and now we are here in the east of the state of Mexico, in Texcoco, because there are several machines that will be used to pave all the streets of 10 municipalities” in the entity, he noted.
During the tour, technical personnel detailed the operation of the machinery, such as a profiler capable of milling up to 35 centimeters deep, as well as equipment to apply asphalt emulsion and compactors to seal the folder. At closing, Sheinbaum stressed that the equipment has already been delivered to the local Mexican governments. “There are 10 municipalities that already have this equipment and the municipal presidents are going to be in charge, from now on, of starting the repaving,” he stated.
