Sheinbaum said that she will keep an eye on the march called by feminist organizations this Sunday from the Monument to the Revolution to the CDMX prosecutor’s office in the framework of the nationwide mobilizations for Debanhi.
The local president clarified that this Sunday she will travel to Quintana Roo to support the campaign of Morena’s candidate for the government of that entity, Mara Lezama.
Sheinbaum expressed solidarity with the families of the victims of femicide throughout the country, however, he stressed that in the capital, there is less and less room for impunity in this crime.
“Any femicide hurts and any femicide has to be attended to, of course violence in general hurts us and in particular against women, in Mexico City we have a femicide prosecutor’s office and efficiency in detention has increased, now they stop at more people linked to femicides and that is due to an action protocol that the FGJ has, ”he explained.
The local president stressed that femicides occur mostly by people close to the victims such as partners, friends, acquaintances, among others, so the investigation techniques begin with a scheme of women’s relationships, made from the statements of Close relatives.
She made it clear that while the federal government has an obligation to guarantee the safety of all Mexicans, state governments must also apply their own surveillance and prosecution mechanisms to crimes committed against women.
He added that in the capital of the country the gender alert was applied, the DNA bank was created, the registry of sexual aggressors, among other actions.
