Through a statement, the CEN of Morena, headed by Luisa María Alcalde and Andrés Manuel López Beltrán —son of the former Mexican president—, highlighted that since the inauguration of Claudia Sheinbaum, on October 1, 2024, the Federal Executive has implemented various actions that have significantly impacted the country’s public policies.
Among the most relevant measures is the reform to elevate all social programs to constitutional status, with the aim of protecting universal support for older adults, school-age children and young people. Likewise, they highlighted the reform of the Judicial Branch, which was carried out in collaboration with the Legislative and Executive branches during these first 100 days. This reform establishes that ministers, magistrates and federal judges will be elected by popular vote.
“With her work, commitment, discipline and love for the people, President Claudia Sheinbaum honors the legacy of former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and reaffirms her commitment to Mexican humanism, as well as to the maxim of our party-movement: ‘For the good of all, first the poor,’” the statement reads.
Furthermore, Morena stressed that President Sheinbaum’s performance in these first 100 days of government has been widely recognized by pollsters and both national and international media, which position her as the most popular President.
This January 12, President Claudia Sheinbaum will lead her message in the Zócalo of Mexico City for the first 100 days of government, in which she will announce the progress of her administration from October to date and the plans for 2025 and with a view to 2030.
