Mexico City, March 1, 2023.- The Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo attended the Signing of the Coordination Agreement of the Contribution Fund for Public Security (FASP) 2023 with federal entities, which was carried out in the State of Puebla, under the host of the governor, Sergio Salomón Céspedes Peregrina.
In her speech, Claudia Sheinbaum highlighted that, “the coordination between the Federal Government and the entities of the Republic is one of the fundamental elements to be able to promote peace and security in our entities, in Mexico City we have reduced in these four years about 50 percent high-impact crimes.
He added that this has been thanks to a coordination strategy in which attention to causes is also prioritized as one of the lines of action.
“Of course, as the President of the Republic says, we fully agree that, without attention to the causes, without giving young people an opportunity, it would be impossible to establish a space of security and peace,” he commented.
The capital’s president highlighted that two new universities have been created in Mexico City and a series of actions have been implemented that complement the Youth Building the Future program, while at the same time prioritizing the improvement of the City Police of Mexico, intelligence and investigation, but above all the coordination with the Secretary of Public Security of the Government of Mexico, the security cabinet assisted by the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of the Navy and the support of the National Guard .
“Of course, as a capital city, coordination with the different entities of the republic that are part of the central region of the country is essential. I am very grateful for this meeting, it has been very fruitful, and also this support that is given through federal funds. , are fundamental to be able to promote peace and security,” said Claudia Sheinbaum, Pardo, head of government of the country’s capital.

The distribution will be as follows: 227.5 million for Aguascalientes; 233.2 million for Colima; 542.1 million for Mexico City; 604.5 million for the State of Mexico; 250.6 million for Guerrero; 232 million for Hidalgo; 241.4 million for Morelos; 287.1 million for Puebla; 227 million for Querétaro; 228.7 million for San Luis Potosí and 186.4 million for Tlaxcala.
He added that these resources are delivered based on the good performance and effort made by the state governments, and exemplified the case of Puebla, a state that reports a downward trend in crime in the last 8 months, intentional homicide down 13.5 percent; Not a single kidnapping has been registered in the last 3 months. After the signing of the agreement, the owners and representatives of the various entities participated in the delivery of 500 patrol cars to municipal presidents of Puebla.
