The president said that at the end of January a letter was sent to Google, after the company said it would place the name of Gulf of America for Google Maps Internet users in the United States, after the imposition of the new designation by Donald Trump
“If we have a conflict with Google, they already answered the letter and we will answer again and if necessary we go to a civil demand because in the United States it will see Gulf of America and in Mexico, Gulf of Mexico, and in Other places, Gulf of Mexico and other Gulf of America, but they are not right … not even President Donald Trump is considering that the whole Gulf is called Gulf of America, but only to his continental platform, ”said the chairwoman.
“Google is wrong, then they answered and the Chancellor (Juan Ramón de la Fuente) returned, saying no, that they are wrong, that all the Gulf Gulf of America cannot be called. He was given again and told him again what the international standards are, so they continue to insist, we are also thinking even a lawsuit, because they are even appointing the Mexican territory that is our continental platform, ”he added.
