He argued that, with the bank, the bet is to strengthen its presence in savings. Currently, the entity is the sixth in the microfinance system, it has a portfolio of s/2,816 million deposits, of which only 23.8% are savings deposits, 75% term deposits and 1.2% CTS.
In addition, it has a risk classification in financial strength of: A- for support & associates, to by JCR Latam and a- by Moody’s local.
“The fact of being a bank gives us a better positioning on the savings front,” said Guerra.
Other businesses?
On the other hand, Guerra indicated that, in all other businesses, the new entity is focused on continuing to do what it knows, which is the microcredit.
“We have no thought, in principle, to incorporate new products such as medium or large company banking, or mortgage credit because it is not our focus,” said the general manager of Compramos Banco.
According to the SBS, the Financial Compartamos financing portfolio is distributed in: 85% credits to the small and microenterprise (MYPES) and 15% consumption.
Likewise, at the end of 2024, the entity registered a portfolio of payment of payments (backward, refinanced and restructured) of 6.39%, the second lowest between financial and a heritage profitability of the order of 11.45%, twice the system.
