Shalper "got the chain" in the RN meeting: "You have to atrophy" the government of Gabriel Boric

The deputy and secretary general of the National Renewal (RN), Diego Schalpercalled on militants from his community to “pressure” and “stunt” the government of the President-elect Gabriel Boricwho will take office on March 11.

“The task that the party has is to use Gabriel Boric’s reforms as a counterweight of force. Require Mr. Boric to exercise his leadership within the Convention, and if not, not approve his reforms, ”said the legislator in the instance.

“And that is perfectly understood by the socialists,” assured the deputy, “because we have already been talking with them and believe me that they are going to exercise their power and they have already notified Mr. Boric that they are not going to advance even in 40 hours. nor in reform X, if it does not moderate the Convention”, continued the secretary general of RN.

“Taking moral strength” from the CC

Schalper also spoke about the plebiscite to exit the Convention, indicating that “we must throw moral force” at the constituent body.

“I believe that the moral strength of the Convention must be removed. How do you take away moral strength? Telling people that all of the popular standards initiatives will have discussed commissions for an hour on average. 50,000 signatures have been collected to end up lasting an hour of conversation. That takes away moral force, because they say they are participatory. Speaking of the indigenous consultation,” she added.

“We have to make the Constitutional Convention compete with the Constitutional Parliament. How? With an alternative, and our alternative cannot be from the party or from the right. It has to be a majority alternative and that is called the Michelle Bachelet project. Notice the madness. The center-right is going to appear pushing Michelle Bachelet’s project, ”she continued.

He also spoke about changing the “Approve” and “Reject” options -through a constitutional reform- to “Yes” and “No”.

“That is something that we have to push, so that the discussion is not whether we approve or reject. Do you notice? Because or if not, we are going to nail ourselves with a brand that, I can tell you personally, has already lost. In change, it is very different that the mark of September 11 ours is the No”, said the parliamentarian.

“Stunt” Boric’s government

Regarding RN’s position against Boric’s government, Schalper maintained that “this party, more than ever, has to oppose everything, and spend the first three days with Boric’s Minister of Labor and say ‘ya poh, what? weren’t we so agile? Where are the trainings? Start to atrophy.

“I know that perhaps the idea of the shadow cabinets was a little misunderstood if you want, but what is behind it is putting pressure on the Boric government to meet social expectations, which will result in universal social rights, because or else we are not going to have any ability to compete against that in September,” he added.

“We have no way of competing against the right to free and universal housing. In no way, unless we land the first 100 days of Boric demanding that he comply with the people with the camps, “he added in his speech.
