In addition to the 3,176 people who officially work in the Ministry of the Interior, the agency allocates 65,628,000 pesos this year for the hiring of 378 people, with payments ranging from 11,000 to 83,789 pesos per month. month.

Said contracts were made only for the secretariat and the two sub-secretariats that make it up, without including the decentralized administrative bodies that depend on the Interior, such as the National Migration Institute, the National Search Commission or the National Population Council, among others.
In the reports published by the Secretariat in the National Transparency Platform, it is indicated that the officials hired for fees are also in charge of essential functions of the agency, such as establish control mechanisms for requests or demands from social organizations classified as high impact
to contribute to its follow-up, or develop cooperation and inter-institutional linkage schemes necessary to attend to petitions and demands presented by social and citizen organizations.
Likewise, they must evaluate the information on conflicts of teacher groups of social and political relevance, or keep records of meetings, hearings and other commitments of the head of the administrative unit, to contribute to the organization of their work agenda.
In 2021, 94 million 895 thousand 782.92 pesos were allocated by the secretariat for the hiring of 561 workers for fees; while in 2020 there were 56 million 723 thousand pesos destined for the hiring of 391 people, and in 2019, 45 million 665 thousand pesos.
