The Primary Cerro Largo network (RAP) in conjunction with CEAS and Avanza nursing schools are organizing a series of activities within the framework of the campaign to eliminate sexually transmitted infections.
At a press conference, which took place at the headquarters of the Departmental Health Directorate, the details of the different proposals were known.

In this we are constantly articulating from the Ministry of Public Health with nursing schools and with health effectors to land proposals for disease prevention and health promotion at the level of our population” commented the Licensed Liliana Denis.
“These sexually transmitted infections need to diagnose them early to take measures as possible for the purpose of preventing complications. From health providers we have the possibility of making the sieves that consists in the search for these diseases through, for example, of rapid test The Departmental Health Director explained.
One of the proposals aims to take the peripheral polyclinics of the Primary Care Network, the possibility of performing these rapid HIV and Syphilis tests. “On the other hand, female and masculine condoms with the recommendation of their use to have safe sexual practices. Denis thanked the two nursing schools for having their students for the work in the polyclinics and in the other health services, beyond being flagged in the health promotion. “It is a very important tool that we have to continue working to have a better quality of life” He stressed.
