SANTO DOMINGO.-Several people were injured in the early hours of today in a traffic accident on the Eastern Highway, approximately 300 meters from the Hato Mayor intersection.
According to information provided by an agent from the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (Digesett), the collision involved a truck and another vehicle, which has already been removed from the scene. So far the authorities have not specified the number of injured or the severity of their injuries.
The accident has generated a large blockage in several directions of the highway. Ciudadanos has stopped to collect the vegetables that the accident truck was transporting.
