The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM) reported this Friday that the prices of the fuels For the week of July 20-26, 2024, they will continue to be subsidized so as not to transfer variations in international oil prices to consumers in the Dominican Republic.
According to Vice Minister Ramón Pérez Fermín, the Dominican Government will allocate 456 million pesos so that the fuels have the following prices:
- Premium gasoline: will be sold at 290.10 pesos per gallon; it maintains its price
- Regular gasoline: 272.50 pesos per gallon; price remains the same
- Regular diesel: 221.60 pesos per gallon; price remains the same
- Optimal diesel: 239.10 pesos per gallon; maintains its price
- Avtur: 203.82 pesos per gallon; down 5.16 pesos
- Kerosene: 233.90 pesos per gallon; down 6.00 pesos
- Fuel oil #6: 167.38 pesos per gallon; down 3.21 pesos
- Fuel oil 1%S: 185.49 pesos per gallon; down 2.68 pesos
- Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG): 132.60 pesos per gallon; price remains the same
- Natural gas: 43.97 per cubic meter (m3); price remains stable
Application for subsidy
The 456 million pesos of subsidy will be applied as follows:
Regular diesel costs 26 pesos per gallon, Optimal diesel costs 20.59 pesos per gallon, Regular gasoline 11.90 pesos per gallon, Premium Gasoline 18.65 pesos per gallon, and LPG 15.23 pesos per gallon.
This subsidy is carried out with the objective of NOT transferring the increases of the international market to the consumers Dominicans, the vice minister said.
