For this Monday, a new national strike is expected by the transport sector, in order to demand a reduction in the price of fuel from Petropar. The mobilizations will cover various parts of the country.

Truckers, platform drivers (Bolt, MUV and Uber), motodelivery and school transport drivers will join the national carrier strike scheduled for September 12.

The forceful measure is given as a continuation of last week’s mobilization, promoted with the purpose of demanding a reduction of G. 1,500 per liter in Petropar fuels.

The groups of carriers will be convened in different parts of the country, including some departmental capitals and strategic areas, although under the promise of not impeding the circulation of other drivers.

Some of the points where the protesters could concentrate are: campus of the National University of Asunción (UNA) in San Lorenzo, Calle Última viaduct, Ypacaraí toll booth, 4 Mojones viaduct, roundabout at Km 39 of Itá , Petropar plant in Villa Elisa, Guarambaré roundabout, Ruta 1 Km 22 Acceso Sur, former Puente Remanso toll, checkpoint on Ruta PY03 de Limpio, Las Residentas roundabout, Rubén Dumot racetrack (former Aratirí) in Capiatá.

The National Police has already planned a major deployment for tomorrow, in order to ensure the normal development of these mobilizations and prevent incidents from being recorded.
