Seven years after the first Ni Una Menos, they call for a march to Congress

The Family Victims of Femicides group will hold a memorial with photos of the victims in Plaza de Mayo.

The Ni Una Menos march in the city of Buenos Aires will take place this Friday afternoon from Plaza de Mayo to Congress, with replicas throughout the country, to which activities by feminist organizations will be added throughout the day, on the occasion of Seven years have passed since the first mobilization.

As on previous occasions, the activities of Ni Una Menos will be carried out under the slogan “Alive, free and debt-free, we love each other! The State is responsible”.

Among the planned activities, the organization Traversed by Femicidewhich brings together families of victims of this crime, will make a performance with shoes in the Plaza del Congreso at 10 in the morning.

In addition, on social networks there will be an initiative with family members telling their stories in the first person with the request that this June 3 “our requests be heard.”

Then, at 12, the group Family Victims of Femicides will hold a memorial with photos of the victims in Plaza de Mayo.

From the Hidden Gender Network They will organize a tour through the corridors of the Ciudad Oculta settlement, located in Commune 8 of the City, intervening walls, since many of the neighbors cannot attend the march.

The Movement of Indigenous Women for Good Living will participate in the march under the slogan “Abolition of Chinese now”in relation to the “systemic practice, in cruel and aberrant ways” that occurs when men sexually abuse indigenous girls and women.

From June 3, 2015 to May 27, 2022, there were 1,990 femicides, 51 trans-transvesticides and 191 related femicides of menaccording to a new report from the Femicide Observatory in Argentina “Adriana Marisel Zambrano”.

Meanwhile, during 2021 a total of 251 femicides were committed, including 20 linked and 5 trans-transvesticides, according to the work of the National Registry of Femicides of the Argentine Justice carried out by the Office of Women (OM) of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (CSJN), which was released this week.
