The provinces of Salta, Jujuy, Tucumán, Catamarca, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos and La Rioja registered this Tuesday active foci of forest fires, according to the daily report of the National Fire Management Service (SNMF), which depends on the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable development.
The town of Orán in Salta maintained “active” fires in Colonia Santa Rosa-Urundel Reserve, Orán 1, 2, 3,4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Aguas Blancas, Senda Hachada, Colonia Santa Rosa and The Hidden.
In addition, the agency warned of “active” outbreaks in Rosario de Lerma and Aguaray 1, also in Salta, and specified that in the province “a hydrant plane and a helicopter with a bucket are available to operate.”
Also “130 brigade members and support personnel affected by fire fighting belonging to the National South Brigade, Catamarca, Córdoba, Jujuy and National Parks joined”.
Meanwhile, in Jujuy the fire is “active” in the towns of Ledesma and Tumbaya, as well as in the Juan Bautista Alberdi and La Cocha districts in Tucumán.
The SNMF report also registered “active” outbreaks in Capayán, Catamarca; Constitution, in Santa Fe; General Belgrano in La Rioja and three fires in Entre Ríos in Victoria, Gualeguay and Diamante.
On the other hand, the agency stated that in Jujuy there are other outbreaks in Palpalá (Puerta de Sala and Lantern) and Dr. Manuel Belgrano (Mármol) that are “contained”, and others “controlled” in Ledesma (Pyromaniac and Energy).
In Catamarca, there is a “contained” focus in La Paz (Recreo), while the fires were “extinguished” in Fray Mamerto Esquiú (Arribo and El Hospicio), Valle Viejo (Jojbal), Paclin (Cumbre de los Pinos), Capayan (The Limit), Capital (Carmelitas) and La Paz (El Suncho).
Regarding the fires in Salta, there is one “contained” in the Capital (Cerro 20 de Febrero); while in Tucumán, there are “controlled” outbreaks in Trancas (Finca Antu and Rearte) and Tafí del Valle (Cerro Alto Matadero), and others “extinct” in Tafí Viejo (Mala Mala) and Monteros (Noroeste Pueblo Sta. Lucia).
Meanwhile, the SNMF reported that the flames that affected Córdoba, in Calamuchita (Loma del Tigre) and in Río Seco (Campo Grande) were “extinguished”.
The same thing happened in Corrientes, where the brigade members put out the fire in Concepción (Rincón del Tayí) and La Cruz (Zona Cuñá Curuzú); while a “contained” focus remains in Rosario Vera de Peñaloza (Chepes II), in La Rioja.
