More than 7 million people purchased low-cost food through Inespre’s popular sales programs in all the country’s provinces.
The institution indicated that in one year and six months of the management headed by Iván Hernández Guzmán, it has carried out 9,524 sales operations; 8,006 mobile warehouses benefiting 4,286,860 people and 1,518 producer markets, impacting 2,809,200 people.
In a statement, he stated that Inespre’s programs favor the population and agricultural producers through the purchase of food and training.
He said that more than 700 producers of bananas, rice, onions, garlic, bananas and other foodstuffs have been supported with the purchase of their crops and more than 250 Dominican companies with the purchases and hiring of their goods and services, processes carried out in compliance with all state regulations.
While around 600 merchants and producers sell their food directly to the population in the 60 farmers’ markets that we hold every week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, according to the press release.
In addition, it has trained 1,300 producers in good agricultural practices, safety, pest management, post-harvest and marketing processes, and travels daily to various parts of the country with its mobile warehouse program.
Iván Hernández Guzmán, from the institution, thanked the support and trust placed by President Luis Abinader and promised to continue contributing to agricultural development, facilitating fair and organized marketing for producers, which guarantees access to quality food for all the consumers.
He exhorted the servers to continue working with transparency, innovation, knowledge, quality, safety and commitment to service.
