Minas hosted the first national meeting of social teams of the Avanzar Plan
The director of Social and Urban Integration of the Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning (MVOT), Florencia Arbeleche, highlighted the unprecedented nature of bringing together the social teams of the Avanzar Plan and the public housing system of the 19 departments.
It is estimated that by 2024, interventions will have been carried out in around 100 settlements across the country, the official said.
On July 16, in Minas Gerais, Arbeleche praised the organization of the first national meeting of social teams of the Avanzar Plan, which ends today, Wednesday, and brings together technicians from that entity and the public housing system, made up of the National Housing Directorate, the National Housing Agency, MEVIR, the Neighborhood Improvement Program, the 19 municipalities and other multidisciplinary technical teams that agreed with civil society.
The meeting began yesterday, Tuesday, and will consist of exchange and analysis sessions, in which the social teams will share their accumulated experiences, systematize information and detect opportunities to improve the tool, the government representative reported. She also valued the responsibility that comes with working on the front line of action with families in the settlements and considered that this event will allow strengthening professional practices in the territory.
The Avanzar plan is a program promoted by the national government since 2020. It is estimated that by 2024 work will have been carried out in a hundred settlements across the country, said Arbeleche.
