Óscar Orué, head of the Undersecretary of State for Taxation (SET), presented, through his legal director, a formal complaint against Juan Villalba, director of Market 4, before the Public Ministry.
“We have made the decision to file a formal complaint for the obstruction and action that took place on Thursday. It has to be settled in a criminal court. It cannot obstruct the task of an institution as important as taxation”, he expressed.
He pointed out that high officials like Villalba should be examples in terms of conduct and not the opposite.
“Let’s hope that justice acts with the severity that corresponds,” he said.
CONTEXT
The Undersecretary of State for Taxation (SET), through the Jeroviaha Department, visited on January 5, 2023 the street stalls and commercial premises located on Avenida Eusebio Ayala, in the vicinity of Municipal Market No. 4 in order to carry out procedures persuasive in order to verify the data declared in the RUC and the correct use of Proof of Sale.
