A Police sergeant was injured during the legal intervention in which the two criminals who were wanted for the death of the young Dominique Natalia Gómez Cabrera, which occurred on February 16 in the La Esperilla sector, National District, were killed, according to the institution.
This is agent Joel Enmanuel Reynoso Diógenes, 30 years old, assigned to the Robbery Operations Department, who received a gunshot wound to the left forearm. “The non-commissioned officer is receiving care at a health center and is stable,” a statement indicates.
The new general director of the uniformed service, Andrés Modesto Cruz Cruz, went to the General Teaching Hospital of the National Police to visit the injured member, verify his state of health and guarantee it.
On the other hand, the two deceased people were identified by authorities as Yamal Anthony Núñez Vargas (Yamal), 20 years old, and the other individual, until now, is known as “Julio 30-30” and/or “Julio Voltio.”
The police explain that both were actively wanted for their alleged involvement in the death of the young Gómez Cabrera, 22, who died while accompanying the urban music exponent Ashley Mariel Victoriano Sánchez, known artistically as Masha.
According to the report, the individuals shot at members of the Central Investigation Directorate (Dicrim) on Los Negros beach, when they were supposedly trying to leave the country. The patrol repelled the attack, leaving both suspects mortally wounded.

The authorities reported that the deceased were required through arrest warrants Nos. 2026-AJ0013089, 2026-AJ0009087 and 0075-February-2026. They were identified as the alleged perpetrators of the shooting attack in which Gómez Cabrera lost his life, who died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Likewise, they were linked to other violent events recorded in the San Carlos and Villa Francisca sectors, where several people were injured in armed incidents that occurred on previous dates.
Evidence
During the confrontation, two 38-millimeter caliber revolvers were seized from the individuals, both nickel-plated and with brown wooden handles, without legible marks or numbers. The weapons remain in the custody of the Azua Investigations Division for the corresponding purposes.
The Police reiterated that it will continue to confront organized crime and strengthen actions to guarantee citizen security throughout the national territory.
