The Seremi of Agriculture of the region of La Araucanía, Gustavo Quilaqueo BustosHe passed away this Wednesday. According to preliminary information, Quilaqueo suffered an accident at his home, located in the town of Molonhue, in the Teodoro Schmidt district.

According to emmol, the body of the seremi was found by Carabineros, after a complaint from family members for alleged misfortune. Uniformed police officers found the body in a water well, near the Huilío River.

Meanwhile, the Homicide Brigade of the Investigative Police is heading to the scene to begin the investigation of the events.

Quilaqueo was a professor of History, Geography and Civic Education. He also had a Master of Science in Regional Rural Development.

“Your loss is irreparable”

The Minister of Agriculture, Stephen Valenzuela, lamented the death of Quilaqueo. “We don’t know the cause, we do know about our pain and that of his family at the departure of a professional committed to his whole being,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

In turn, the Ministry of Agriculture issued a statement through its social networks. “We send our condolences and love to his family and loved ones at this very difficult time,” they said.

“His loss is irreparable, Gustavo was a great public servant, dedicated and professional. This is a painful loss for the entire family of the Ministry of Agriculture,” they added.
