The Health Ministry of the Metropolitan Region, Helga balich, today filed a complaint with the North Central Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office for threats directed at four officials of the institution.
“The events occurred early today, when four officials of the entity received messages via WhatsApp, at the same time, from the same telephone number, in which they threatened and made known the presence of a bomb in their place of work, “said the Seremi de Salud in a statement.
Following proceedings carried out by the Special Police Operations Group (GOPE), the presence of the explosive device in the compound was ruled out.
The reason for the threat was to demand the elimination of all the fines issued by sanitary summaries during this year. This, in exchange for defusing the alleged bomb.
Balich described the incident “seriously, because these threatening messages were not only related to the presence of a bomb at the Seremi de Salud facilities, but also threatened the relatives of one of our officials.”
