The UNAM must request the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), once it officially notifies it of its decision to invalidate the bachelor’s degree issued in 1987 to the Minister of the Court Yasmin Esquivel Mossa, sources from the agency reported.
They pointed out that until 7:50 p.m. this Wednesday, the SEP had not received any official notification of the conclusion of the analysis carried out by the Academic and Scientific Integrity Committee of the Faculty of Higher Education (FES) Aragón, where the minister completed her Right’s studies.
SEP sources indicated that the federal agency is waiting to know whether or not the notification is made by the highest house of studies about the case.
They clarified that the educational authority does not carry out any academic evaluation of those who carry out the professional qualification process, so the agency only receives the information from the educational institution, which is the one who requests the professional title to be issued

According to the results issued by the Committee of the FES Aragón, Esquivel, who aspired to preside over the SCJN, copied a substantial part of the content of the thesis presented a year ago (1986) by the student of the Faculty of Law Édgar Ulises Báez
