Twelve years after being captured, four subjects linked to the criminal group Los Zetas They received historical convictions up to 175 years in prison for multiple kidnapping.
Those sentenced – José Heder Ruiz Balero, Ricardo Román Palomo Rincones, Lorenzo Reyes and Juan Francisco Robles Martínez – were arrested in 2013 by personnel of the Ministry of National Defense during an operation in a building of the Santa Regina subdivision, in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, and were available to the federal authorities.
The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported yesterday that, after years of judicial process, the Ninth District Court based in Coyotepec, Oaxaca, issued 175 years for Ricardo Román and José Heder, and 150 years for Lorenzo Reyes and Juan Francisco, for the crime of illegal deprivation of liberty in his modality of kidnapping against eight victims.
The FGR, through its specialized prosecution in organized crime and regional control in Oaxaca, proved that the four were part of a cell of Los Zetas dedicated to kidnapping and other criminal activities. They currently comply with their sentence in different penitentiaries of the country.
