The Second Chamber of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal of the National District rejected the appeal of the sentence that sentenced Alison de Jesús Pérez Mejía (Chiquito), Luis Brito Troncoso (Luisito) to 30, 20 and 15 years in prison ) and Wesly Vicent Carmona, known as “the Dotolcito“.
Likewise, the court of second instance confirmed in all aspects the sentence that convicted the accused on April 24, issued by the judges of the Second Collegiate Court of the National District, for not having verified the defects alleged in the challenge.
In April of this year, the three young people were found guilty by the Second Collegiate Court of the National District of the murder of Joshua Fernandez19 years old, in the middle of a holdupin the parking lot of a nightclub in the Naco expansion.
The tragic event occurred on April 16, 2023.
The sentences
The Second Collegiate Court of the National District had handed down the following sentences for the three young people:
· Chiquito was sentenced to 30 years for voluntary manslaughter, heist aggravated, illegal possession of a weapon and association of criminals, after confirming that his shot caused the death of Fernández.
· The Dotolcito He received a 15-year sentence for his key role in coordinating and facilitating the escape of the perpetrators, although he did not have access to weapons.
·Luisito was sentenced to 20 years for his participation in the heistuse of illegal weapons and association of criminals. It was established that the shot he fired into the air did not cause homicide.
