After the struggle between police officers and doctors during today’s march outside the vicinity of the National Palace, the president of the Dominican Medical College (CMD), Rufino Senén Caba made a resounding call to the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader.
“Let the president prepare, that tomorrow we will give him the answer he deserves,” he said.
In addition, he rated ¨an unspeakable outrage¨ the violent events that were experienced and announced that they will convene their entire group for noon on Thursday “before the stubbornness, deafness and mistreatment of a government that does not want to resolve this situation.”
“Faced with these mistreatments to which we were subjected, without justification because it was an orderly and peaceful protest, we summoned the entire membership of the national board of directors and all the past presidents to evaluate what has happened here today”, he exclaimed.

The head of the Cardiology Service of the Salvador B. Gautier hospital, doctor Fulgencio Severinosaid that ¨this outrage means that the Government wants to continue with its line of privatization, and to deny the right of the poorest population, to go to hospitals with equipment and conditions to receive better care¨.
The doctor warned that the retaliation will have a response from the union, and that they will join the new measures adopted by the CMD.
While the president of the CMD, Senén Caba, described the action of the police as a “criminalization of the protests, however fair they may be.”
“Nobody has the slightest doubt that this police is being trained by the Colombian, Israeli and Chilean services. That means that the population that regulates me, what is going to receive is mistreatment, no matter how fair their demands are », he expressed annoyed.
He added: «They are not going to intimidate us, this conglomerate of professionals is irreducible. Here we will be and we will remain, until this Government begins to solve the population and stops giving it dizziness.
