Meanwhile, the president of the Senate, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, said that on Tuesday, February 11, the Plenary of the Upper House will discuss the reforms, since he said that this law is a priority for Morena.
“The next Mars the Plenary will address that issue. I will see with the president of the commission and with the parliamentary groups that do their task. That law is a priority, but on Tuesday the plenary will know, discuss and approve the initiative, ”he emphasized.
It is contemplated that these reforms that were sent by the Chamber of Deputies have no change, but are approved as they arrived from San Lázaro. In addition to the president Claudia Sheinbaum rejected that with these modifications the workers’ funds will be used.
This postponement is also given after workers and businessmen asked for clear rules in the Infonavit reform.
“We want the clear rules to know how they will be invested, where and under what conditions they will be invested,” said Juan José Sierra, president of the Patronal Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex).
It is the second time that they cancel the discussion of this reform, since it was contemplated that it was the Mars February 4, but it was postponed because that day the plenaries of Morena and the PVEM were held.

This establishes that patterns can “seize” the salary of workers, and even the president of the Senate, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, said that he saw “difficult” that this modification was discussed and endorsed.
According to versions of different senators, the government of President Claudia Sheinbaum was against the reform, so various Secretaries of State asked legislators to postpone the discussion.
Among the secretaries who pointed out not to support this modification was the head of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, Rogelio Ramírez de la O, and of the work and social forecast, Marath Baruch. So far there is no date on when the reform will be discussed.
Infonavit reform with changes
This package of housing reforms carry changes of the Chamber of Deputies, since it generated controversies between workers and businessmen.

They also modified the integration of the Surveillance Committeesince previously the federal government had greater representation with five of the nine members. Now with the changes of the deputies, there will be three for each sector: government, workers and businessmen.
