The interblock of the Frente de Todos (FdT) of the Chamber of Senators repudiated the decision of the Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires to confirm Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti in charge of the case in which the attempted assassination of the Vice President of the Nation, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, is being investigated.
Through a press release released this afternoon, the interblock headed by José Mayans from Formosa repudiated “the resolution of the Buenos Aires chambermaid Leopoldo Bruglia to reject the proposal of the Vice President of the Nation.”
“The decision adopted by Judge Bruglia (appointed chambermaid by hand by former President Mauricio Macri) is very serious. Thus, the Vice President is prevented from having access to justice, who was the victim of an assassination attempt by far-right activists on September 1, and the knowledge of the full truth of what happened to the Argentine people,” the document said.
The press release adds that “Comrade Cristina Fernández’s lawyers had requested Judge Capuchetti’s dismissal, p.orque did not investigate all the elements raisedand stressed that “The magistrate rejected most of the measures of evidence claimed by the complaint Y did not exhaust all the lines of investigation that appeared after the frustrated attack; not counting the unfortunate episode in which the memory of the cell phone of the main accused of the attack was erased, without any explanation and in judicial custody”.

For the interblock of pro-government senators, “in an attitude that can only be explained by political sympathies and antipathiesJudge Capuchetti avoided going deeper into the judicial investigation, as, for example, happened with the link between the referent of the Nueva Derecha group, Hernán Carroll, and the material author of the attack: Fernando Sabag Montiel.”
“In addition, Room 1 of the Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires, with the signatures of Bruglia and his colleagues Mariano Llorens and Pablo Bertuzzi (another who agreed to that instance by work and decision of Macri), decided to put a stop to the investigation of the Millman track when establishing that Judge Capuchetti, before analyzing the cell phones of the two advisers to the current deputy and former Secretary of Internal Security who accompanied him at the Casablanca bar in the Congress area, take other test steps“, they remark.
Finally, the document points out the “concern” with which they observe that “some judges of Comodoro Py seem to act more oriented towards a political sense than a legal oneand with their decisions, instead of trying to clarify the facts of such importance, they give the impression of wanting to cover them up and thus avoid following certain lines of investigation”.
