Patrick Kemper, national senator for the “Hagamos” party, expressed his concern at the number of children and adolescents who have disappeared in recent years and the lack of information in this regard. He announced that he will be putting together a team to work on the problem.
The legislator mentioned, in the last session of the Chamber of Senators, a 2021 report from the National Police that indicates that some 2,559 people were missing, of which only 1,292 were found alive and unfortunately 44 people were found dead. “Within this totality of the margin, what most caught my attention is that 45% of the total add up to 1,115 adolescents, following that band 933 missing girls and 218 missing boys,” he quoted.
«I cannot measure that compliance with the protocols is not faithfully followed as well; I refuse to believe that it is not being given due importance », he expressed.
He argued that as a representative of the citizenry, one must become aware of this structural problem in which acts of disappearance were naturalized, as well as corruption and lack of transparency in the structure of the State.
“We must understand that this is a situation that lacerates our country. For this reason, with the team, we are going to be articulating and investigating the subject more in depth, to give an answer to this problem », he indicated and encouraged his colleagues to join the cause.
