During a press conference held on September 6 at the PAN Steering Committee in Aguascalientes, Marmolejo recalled that Morena and allied parties are only missing one senator to achieve the qualified majority with which they will be able to pass the Judicial Reform without problems.
He said that PAN and PRI remain firm in their position of voting against the Judicial Branch Reform, however, he referred to the senators of Movimiento Ciudadano so that they “do not fail their voters” and advance as a block against the proposal of the federal executive.
“The vote is yours and you are going to fail Mexico. This is enough to make the guy who votes against (the Judicial Reform) get lynched, seriously, just the way he is and the way I am so foul-mouthed, they should beat him up and give him everything they want” she said.
“Chuya” asked all legislators of the opposition bloc to the Judicial Reform to show up to work in the next sessions of the Upper House, since otherwise, their absence could grant them an automatic qualified majority.
