The decision to form the special Commission to investigate the existence of probable abuses of authority and violations of the rule of law in Veracruz has to be endorsed by the full Senate, otherwise it has no validity, considered the legislator of Morena César Cravioto.
He warned that the initiative to create that commission, which was taken by the Senate’s Political Coordination Board (Jucopo), headed by Ricardo Monreal, has not been discussed in the Morena parliamentary group, where a part of the legislators does not agree. agreement, because it has become an instrument for political pounding
against the governor of Veracruz, Cuitláhuac García Jiménez.
One thing is that it is required that the process carried out against the comrade José Manuel del Río Virgen, technical secretary of the Jucopo, be attached to the law, that his hand is not burdened, that evidence be presented, as far as that all the Morena bench we agree, but it is quite another to propose the disappearance of powers in the entity, which breaks with the harmony and unanimity of criteria
.
Senator Cravioto asked why similar commissions are not also formed to investigate the governments of Guanajuato or Jalisco, which are part of the PAN and MC, respectively, where organized crime reigns, or that of the state of Mexico, first place in femicides. . He asserted that many legislators in his caucus share that concern over the attempt to confront the Senate with a Morena governor.
He stated that he trusts that most of his colleagues understand that it is about a move by Dante Delgado, MC coordinator and we cannot fall into the trap
.
– At the meeting of that commission for Veracruz, last Tuesday, Dante Delgado refused to seek the disappearance of powers in Veracruz?
-Yes, he has already backtracked on what was his initial proposal, because they already realized that the commission has no legal basis, that for it to exist, it must be approved by the full Senate, which is the body that would have to take a decision. so drastic decision.
– How to solve the problem of the Judicial Power in Veracruz that is supposed to have committed excesses, as shown in the case of Del Río Virgen?
–That has to be reviewed. But we must also remember that there was a constitutional reform before the Fourth Transformation of the country began, which gave autonomy to the prosecutors. The question is why are they blaming the governor of Veracruz and not the state judiciary, why have they politicized the problem?
He insisted: Why don’t you ask the Judicial Council to review the actions of the judge who decided to keep Del Río Virgen in prison? “
Senator Cravioto stressed that it is a very serious matter, which cannot be decided by a single person, even if it is the coordinator of the parliamentary group, since it has to do with a Morena government. Many of us do not agree and when I say many, it is because there are. I am not speaking for myself, there are some who have already declared in that sense, others who have not yet, but we agree that it is a mistake to put the topics together
.
Separately, the president of the National College of Criminal Lawyers, Gilberto Farías, and the president of the National Union of Women Law Leaders, Xochitl de Labra, issued a statement in which they argue that the commission for Veracruz is valid, since it is it conformed with the consensus of all parliamentary groups.
