The senator for the region of La Araucanía, Philip Kast, addressed this Wednesday the progress that the Republican Party has had in the face of the upcoming elections on May 7 where the members of the Constituent Council will be elected. Remember that Chile Vamos (UDI-RN-Evópoli) is on a different list from the far-right party called “Chile Seguro”.
When arguing said decision, the legislator specified in the program “To Bread Bread” of The Radio Counter that “part of the differences between Evópoli and the Republican Party is in the style of doing politics, since we are always going to be willing to listen to arguments and it is something that does not interest them much.”

The president of Evópoli, Gloria Huttspoke of putting a brake on the Republican Party, words that the senator for La Araucanía tries to break away from, since “I prefer not to refer to them much, I prefer to talk about the work of Evópoli.”
“I think that here more than talking about the Republican Party, let’s talk about Evópoli and what led it to be as a party in its time, which I think is its wealth in seeking agreements, seeking social justice, seeking economic development,” he added.
Finally, Felipe Kast assured that “I have chosen to ignore the Republican Party rather than dedicate myself to doing politics thinking about them all day.”
