SANTO DOMINGO.-President Luis Abinader led the ceremony in which the Senate of the Republic recognized the president of the Constitutional Court, Milton Ray Guevara, for his outstanding professional career, his legal career, an example for students, researchers and jurists.
The recognition, proposed by the senator for María Trinidad Sánchez, Alexis Victoria Yeb, is also for assuming an unwavering commitment in the defense, promotion and teaching of the Constitution, in favor of the institutionality of the country.
During the ceremony, held in the National Assembly Hall, the president handed over the parchment of recognition to Milton Ray Guevara, accompanied by the presidents of the Senate, Eduardo Estrella, and of the Supreme Court of Justice, Luis Henry Molina. After receiving the scroll of recognition, Guevara thanked the presence of President Abinader for his tireless efforts for the aggrandizement of the homeland and the well-being of all Dominicans.
Likewise, he thanked the president of the Senate, the proponent of the recognition and all the senators for the unanimous approval of the resolution.
“The recognition that I gratefully receive today makes particular reference to my professional career, characterized by spaces shared between public and private life, almost in equal time,” he said.

The president of the Senate, Eduardo Estrella, indicated that Ray Guevara is a benchmark in Labor Law, Social Security and Constitutional Law and said recognition is a sign of appreciation and admiration.
