The Chamber of Senators paid tribute to the national actress Graciela Belén González, popularly known as “Lali González”.
Senators such as Gilberto “Tony” Apuril, Sergio Godoy, “Beto” Ovelar and Esperanza Martínez did not spare words of recognition for the Paraguayan actress who recently triumphed in the Argentine soap opera The 1-5/18 We Are One.
The honoree pointed out that she is in one of the best moments of her career and that she is very happy to be Paraguayan.
“I am proud to go to another country where it is fashionable to speak Guarani. That people begin to want to know things about us. I thank my dad, my mom and my husband. I believe in my country. No matter how many times they told me that I couldn’t dedicate myself to this profession. Thank God for having had so much faith in me as a Paraguayan woman, “she said.
